The recent development of telecommunication infrastructures and related services has brought to a concept in which information has to be available anywhere and anytime, to anyone and by anything.

For this vision to become a reality, network technologies, digital content, and user access must be developed in an integrated fashion.

Under the "Shaping Tomorrow's Networks" programme a series of meetings of high-level experts on the evolution of the Information Society are carried out.

	A Meeting of High-Level Experts on "Competitive Platforms for the Delivery of Digital Content " was held from 21 to 22 June 2007 in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting was jointly organized by International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and European Broadcasting Union (EBU).

An international Workshop on "Market Mechanisms for Spectrum Management" was held from 22 to 23 January 2007, in Geneva, Switzerland.

The workshop was jointly organized by ITU (Strategy and Policy Unit and Radiocommunication Sector) and the Ugo Bordoni Foundation.
