Christian Huitema born in France, 13 January 1953, is a senior researcher at INRIA in Sophia Antipolis, France, where he leads the research project Rodeo on "high-speed networks". For 15 years, he has conducted research on various areas of computer networking, such as satellite communication, transport protocols, marshaling languages and compilers, mail and name services. He is a member of the Internet Architecture Board since 1991 and chaired this board from April 1992 to July 1995. He was elected trustee of the Internet Society in 1995. He recently published two books, "Routing in the Internet" and "Et Dieu créa L'Internet..."
