Objectives: This session will review the major
outcomes of WTSA-04 (Florianópolis, 2004) and the
preparation status of WTSA-08, including expected
participants, objectives of WTSA-08, and information
on logistics. There will also be information on the
Global Standardization Symposium to be organized on
20 October 2008 just ahead of WTSA-08.

Objectives: The following sessions will discuss
regional concerns, determine issues on which
proposals should be drafted, consider and adopt
texts of proposals. In particular, the regional
preparatory meeting might develop regional positions
concerning Study Group restructuring.
Conclusion of the discussion and review of draft texts and regional positions,
including chairmanships and vice-chairmanships for Study Groups and TSAG, to be
adopted at WTSA-08
