On April 23^rd 2015, two big events were celebrated at Galicia Supercomputing Center (CESGA) in Santiago de Compostela, Spain, to celebrate the International Girls in ICT Day.

The morning session had three wonderful female ICT entrepreneurs from our region:

• Verónica Ramallal, founder of Pekecha.com. (social media management).
• Mª Rosa Vázquez Rogel. CEO and co-founder of Appentra.com. (High performance computer software)
• Mariel Martínez Estévez, co-fundadora of Ameiga.com. (Game development for mobile devices)

50 girls from a secondary school participated on the premises, and other 10 secondary schools participated live from their schools through videoconference, to ask them questions, know more about their experience, dreams, challenges...

The afternoon session had 3 different activities for 10-14 year old girls, with workshops and a visit to the heart of the supercomputing centre. The workshops included coding with Scratch (and making it work with Lego We-Do kits), Using Makey-makey (www.makeymakey.com ) kits, Escornabots ( http://escornabot.com/web/es/what) and a 3D printer!
