Title ICT Applications Against Ebola Disease - Phase I
Description This project is a significant joint effort made by the ITU and the Government of Japan, which aims at responding to the Ebola crisis through the use of telecommunications/ICTs. The project aims to provide means and channels of emergency communication to fight against the Ebola disease through development of mobile applications, and the purchase of mobiles to be used by the Emergency Treatment Units (ETUs) and district offices. The project will be the first phase of the TeleHealth Initiative to be launched by ITU.  This initiative constitutes the immediate response on the ICT side to the efforts made by the international community against Ebola.
