More than a year ago, an ITU Focus Group on distributed ledger technologies (DLT) completed its mission to survey DLT-based applications and identify the need for standards in this domain. Episode #5 of the DLT Meet-Up series will provide insight into the ITU standards adopted based on the Focus Group deliverables.
 

Experts involved in the work will tell the story behind the development of the standards, discuss the current status and give an outlook on future work on DLT. The objective of the meet-up is to increase the awareness of the publicly available standards and to shed light on the process leading to their adoption.

ITU standards and publications covered in this episode: HSTP.DLT-UC (DLT use cases), F.751.2 (DLT reference framework), F.751.1 (DLT platform assessment criteria), HSTP.DLT-RF (DLT regulatory and policy aspects), X.1400 (DLT terminology), X.1400 series (DLT security aspects).

Participation in the meet-up is open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country that is a member of ITU who wishes to contribute to the work. This includes individuals from the DLT technology and service providers, research institutions, United Nations agencies, regulators, other related professionals, and also members of international, regional and national organizations.​
