Katelyn Lynch is a Ph.D. candidate in the School for the Future of Innovation in Society at Arizona State University. Her research concentrates on Innovation in Global Development, with a particular focus on expanding internet accessibility as a means to enhance individual freedoms and capabilities. Her dissertation research investigates the factors that influence whether individuals use the internet to enrich their lives, with a particular focus on digital literacy and the Capability Approach as a framework for Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D) initiatives. Her research is guided by a commitment to leveraging technology to bridge socioeconomic disparities, promote equity, and foster human development.
