Clara HERMANN

​​​​​​​​​​Clara HERMANN is a cultural manager, curator, and editor and has been the director of the JUNGE AKADEMIE at the Akademie of Arts in Berlin since 2019. The program supports international artists in all art sections of the academy - visual arts, architecture, music, literature, performing arts, film and media arts - with different scholarships in Germany and abroad. For the program, she developed a new digital platform as a transdisciplinary magazine, exhibition and experimental space, as well as the special scholarship on the theme of "Man-Machine" .

Previously, she founded and directed the Digital Solitude program at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, which promotes artists and topics at the intersection of art, the Internet, and society, in cooperation with ZKM Karlsruhe, among others. In 2017/18, she was also a research assistant at the Chair of Cultural Management at the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). She is co-editor of the publication "Der Digitale Kulturbetrieb - Strategien, Handlungsfelder & Best Practices".

Clara Herrmann studied German Literature, Law as well as Cultural Management and Cultural Tourism at the University of Konstanz, the Free University of Berlin, University College London and the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder).
