Seventh SG13 Regional Workshop on "Standardization of future networks towards building a better connected Africa"

Introduction
The International Telecommunication Union organized the Seventh Regional Workshop for Africa on "Standardization of future networks towards building a better connected Africa", that took place on 3-4 February 2020 in Abuja, Nigeria. The​ workshop was kindly hosted by the Federal Ministry of Communications, and supported by the University of Nigeria. The workshop took place back to back with the ITU-T Study Group 13 Regional Group for Africa (SG3RG-AFR) meeting, from 5-6 February 2020 at the same venue. 


Objectives
This two-days workshop aimed at dealing with hot topics of Study Group13, mainly IMT-2020, Network 2030, trusted infratructure, Cloud Computing and Big Data, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. Sessions was dedicated to discussing user experiences and successful stories from diverse African organizations with regard to topics of the workshop.
         

Target Audience
Participation in the workshop was​ open to ITU Member States, Sector Members, Associates and Academic Institutions and to any individual from a country which is a member of ITU who wishes to contribute to the work. This includes individuals who are also members of international, regional and national organizations. ​
