Takashi EGAWA joined NEC Corporation in 1991, and studied various areas of networks, in particular active networks.
He joined standardization activity in 2005. Since then he served ITU as the Chairman of Focus Group on Future Networks (FG-FN), a Vice- Chairman of Focus Group on Focus Group on Disaster Relief Systems, Network Resilience and Recovery (FG-DR&NRR), and the Rapporteur of Question 14 (Software Defined Networking and Service-aware networking of future networks) of Study Group 13.
