Session 2:  EMF considerations for a sustainable digital transformation: Addressing public concerns on health and safety around telecommunications installations

Addressing public concerns on health and safety around telecommunications installations is crucial, given the ongoing debate on the potential harmful effects of electromagnetic fields (EMFs) emitted by such installations. This session aimed to provide factual information on the current technologies used in telecommunications services to increase public trust and confidence in their safety. This session also provided a platform to present key ITU-T standards on this topic that can provide guidance to assess, evaluate and monitor human exposure of EMFs to enable a sustainable digital transformation.
