​High-Level Roundtable on the Importance of Assessment and Measurement of EMF Levels
This roundtable brought together experts to dive into the necessity of establishing guidelines and protocols for EMF assessment. As regulators, their role in ensuring the safety of ICT infrastructure and protecting public health was paramount. Through this discussion, participants gained insights into the challenges and opportunities associated with EMF measurement, and explored how regulatory bodies could collaborate to establish best practices.​

​Session 1: EMF, Health Research & Future Needs
The session aimed to cover EMF exposure limits and compliance assessment standards covering ICNIRP, IEEE International Committee on Electromagnetic Safety (ICES), WHO EMF International Database, ITU Recommendations & Need for Harmonization of EMF Standards and GSMA activities.​​​

Session 2: The Impact of Urban Planning on the Telecom Sector and the Process of Regulating Telecommunication Towers
This session explored the legal regulations surrounding establishing telecommunication towers, address challenges and difficulties, and propose solutions. Additionally, it examined the impact of urban planning on the telecommunication sector’s infrastructure, particularly concerning telecommunication towers. The session also showcased models from Arab countries specifically highlighting regulations and construction processes.

​Session 6: Demonstration of Measurements Tools and Inspection Visit Report Review on EMF Measurements
A real inspection visit was carried out in advance and a detailed report prepared along with analysis will be shared with all Workshop participants. It provided the Workshop participants much better appreciation of the EMF measurement inspection visits.
Measurement tools will be demonstrated at the venue.
