ECKERT Marcus

Marcus_Eckert-photo.jpg​Marcus Eckert studied Information- and Communication Technologies at Chemnitz University of Technology since 2005 and earned my Dipl.-Ing. Degree in April 2011. Since May 2011 he is employed as a research assistant at the chair of Communication Networks which is led by Professor Dr.-Ing Bauschert. His working topics are concerning the network based QoE monitoring of specific internet services as well as the microscopic traffic management and the detection of certain data streams within the traffic mix. The mentioned topics are part of his PhD studies (work in progress), too. Since the upcoming of SDN (Software Defined Networking), his research is also directed into utilizing SDN capabilities for the QoE management. In addition to SDN he makes use of NFV (Network Function Virtualization), too to create a distributed QoE/QoS management Framework called SDN/NFV-ISAAR (Internet Service quality Assessment and Automatic Reaction). Marcus Eckert is a member of IEEE, ITU and VDE.
