Stephen Lentz

 

Mr. Lentz is Director of Network Development at Ocean Specialists, Inc.. He cumulates twenty-five years experience in planning, implementation, and operation of subsea fiber optic networks.  His experience covers access, metro, national, and international networks, industrial applications and data centers.  He is conversant with Ethernet, IP, MPLS, DWDM, SONET, and SDH network architectures and standards.
 
Mr. Lentz provides OSI's clients with state-of-the art solutions in submarine cable system networks adapting the latest technologies that optimize bandwidth, latency, resiliency, and flexibility for our telecom, energy sector, and scientific customers. Mr. Lentz's knowledge of network and equipment solutions is a cornerstone for identifying and developing executable business strategies for OSI's clients.
 
Prior to joining OSI, Mr. Lentz acted as consultant to several significant projects including BP’s Gulf of Mexico Fiber Optic Network and its extension to Shell offshore platforms, Neptune Canada, Ghana Offshore broadband network, Sonangol Offshore Optical Cable, and the Canadian Pacific Rail trackside network upgrade.   From 1998 to 2005 Mr. Lentz worked for 360 Networks to develop their trans-Atlantic and North to South American submarine cable systems, reaching the position of Vice President of Network Engineering.  ​
