Since 2012, Daiva MatonienÄ— has held the position of Vice Minister, Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania, where she is responsible for construction and housing, urban design and architecture, planning and depths of earth sectors. Leadership on Program for modernization of multi-apartment buildings.

Since 2010 has also been a member of the Lithuanian Delegation (COTER and ENVE) to the Committee of the Regions. Daiva Matoniene has an MBA in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Management & Business Administration from Siauliai University of Lithuania. From 2007 to 2012, she was Deputy Mayor in the Municipality of Siauliai, where she was responsible for environmental safety, economics, infrastructure, information technology and construction management.

Awards: Prime minister of the Republic of Lithuania award Diplomas for achievements and results implementing Housing Renovation Program, President of the Republic of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite Medal of Honour for achievements in Lithuanian Presidency period, Minister of Environment Valentinas Mazuronis award for the fruitful work in Renovation of buildings.
