The Honourable Kenred M. A. Dorsett was born in 1971, in Nassau to Nathaniel and Joyce Dorsett. He was educated at St. John’s College, Nassau, Bahamas; Keele University, Staffordshire, England; and at the BPP Law School, London, England. He was called to the Bars of England & Wales and The Bahamas in 1995.
He was formerly a Member of the Education Loan Authority; Deputy Chairman, Clifton Heritage Authority; Chairman, Housing Commission; Deputy Chairman, the Progressive Liberal Party; Director, Consolidated Water (Bahamas) Ltd.; Member of the Membership Committee for Meritas Law Firms Worldwide. Former Founding and Managing Partner of Chancellors Chambers.
He is the Member of Parliament of Southern Shores Constituency and was appointed Minister of the Environment & Housing in 2012. He is married to Mrs. Tamela Dorsett and has five children. He is a member of Bahamas Harvest Church.
His interests include: reading and gardening. He can be found on weekends coaching his son’s Little League Baseball team; monitoring on-going construction in government subdivisions; driving through the streets of New Providence in search of available land for new government housing developments; and marking the progress of repairs to government rentals units.
