Silvia is the Global Director of Sustainability and Environment of Telefonica, in which her main role is the implementation of the corporate strategy of sustainability.
She holds a degree in Geological Science from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, doctorate in Physics and an Executive MBA from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid. Her professional career at Telefonica began in 1995 in the Telefonica Moviles Technology department. In 2005, she became the Corporative Responsibility Manager at Telefonica S.A. In 2007, she moved on to take on the role of Environmental Director at Telefonica S,A, a role which she still currently holds within the Sustainaibility Direction.
She takes life as a Marathon. With work and sports as her main passions and with a goal: to demonstrate that Green ICTs support business sustainability.
