Gabriela Styf Sjöman has a long Senior International Leadership and Business experience in the Telecom and IT industry. She has lived in ten countries, and worked in eight of these accross Asia Pacific, Europe, and North America. Since January 2015, Styf Sjöman is Vice President Network Engineering & TILab of Telecom Italia Group leading the evolution of networks to support Telecom Italia Group vision of being key enabler of Digital Life to Consumers and Businesses.
Gabriela has held numerous leadership positions ranging from Managing Director of an IT Consultancy in Pharmaceutics, Director at a Start-up, to various Vice President positions at a large Multinationals. She has experience from leading establishment of new business and product areas, driving them from strategy to execution with multiplied profits, both in start-ups as well established multinational Telecom Network Provider.
In her leadership positions Styf Sjoman has held responsibility for functional units such as Engineering, Product Management, Research & Development, Marketing, Business Development, and Sales with own Profit & Loss responsibility. In addition Gabriela has long experience from Change Management, having been the initiator and driver for successful large scale operational transformations in Multinational Companies, resulting in multiple savings and accelerated Time to Market . Styf Sjoman was responsible for successfully leading the development of Ericsson Mobile Core portfolio to a market leading position.
Styf Sjoman holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Sweden, and a Master in Business and Administration from University of Durham in UK. Gabriela has participated in various Executive Business Management programs at Stanford University, Boston University and IMD. In 2014 she was selected as participant of Women Up Sweden, which is a Leadership Program initiated under Hillary Clinton International Womens Business Council.
During her time in Asia Pacific, Gabriela was in various occasions nominated as most influential IT and Telecom person by Chinese industry bodies as well as China Mobile.
