PETRI Dario

Dario Petri is a Full Professor of measurement and electronic instrumentation and the head of the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento, Italy. He is also an IEEE fellow member and the chair of the IEEE Smart Cities Initiative in Trento.
He was the head of the Department of Information Engineering and Computer Science from 2010 to 2012. Dario Petri received the M.Sc. degree (summa cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree in electronics engineering from the University of Padua, Padua, Italy, in 1986 and 1990, respectively.

Dario Petri is a member of the National Group of Expert of Evaluation (GEV) for research in the area of Industrial and Information Engineering. He is also chairing the Italian Association of Electrical and Electronic Measurements (GMEE) since 2013. He chaired the IEEE Italy Section from 2012 to 2014.

Over his research career, Dario Petri has been an author of over 250 papers published in international journals or in proceedings of peer reviewed international conferences.  His research activities cover different fields and are focused on data acquisition systems, embedded systems, instrumentation for smart energy grids, fundamentals of measurement theory, application of digital signal processing to measurement problems.
