Presentation abstract
Titel of the presentation: Smart Cities in Spain

The Spanish Administration is committed to sharing its unique expertise regarding standards for smart cities with other countries and regions around the world.

In this regard, we consider ITU-T as a major platform for establishing global standards and Spain is honoured to have a Vice chairmanship of ITU-T Study Group 20. At the last meeting of the Rapporteur Group Meetings that took place the previous week in Geneva, Spain presented a number of contributions ranging from smart tourism to smart rural areas. Two draft ITU recommendations on interoperability and open data were also presented with the aim of being approved later this year.

This standardization effort is part of the National Plan for Smart Cities, which will be presented during the talk.
