Mattias Höjer is Director of the Centre for Sustainable Communications (CESC) and Professor in Environmental Futures studies at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm. CESC is an Excellence centre conducting innovative research on ICT for sustainability aiming to contribute to a change of society in a sustainable direction. He is currently leading several projects connecting to Smart sustainable cities and is responsible for the ICT4S 2014-conference in Stockholm in August 2014. He is also working with long-term futures studies mainly focusing backcasting. Areas of study have been transport and cities and often with a consumption perspective and with energy and climate in focus.
