Francis Yiryel is a telecommunications professional serving as Deputy Manager in the Regulatory Administration division of Ghana’s National Communications Authority (NCA). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, complemented by advanced certifications in AI Programming and Machine Learning. At the NCA, Francis assists in managing the National Numbering Plan, oversees comprehensive numbering audits, and ensures compliance with Mobile Number Portability (MNP) and Quality of Service (QoS) standards. He has driven the adoption of data-driven, AI-powered solutions—such as automated tariff analysis, machine learning-based complaint classification, and fraud detection tools—to enhance regulatory efficiency and consumer protection. Francis’s work is underpinned by strong values of teamwork, accountability, and transparency. He engages effectively with stakeholders, promotes knowledge sharing, and supports the continuous improvement of regulatory processes.
