Introduction
The International Telecommunication Union is organizing a workshop on the evolution of transport networks to support IMT-2020/5G at the ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland on 16 October 2017 (afternoon, 1430 - 1700 hours). This workshop intends to offer a platform for all involved stakeholders and aims to identify the architecture and requirements for transport network support of IMT 2020/5G networks with a focus on supporting the 5G radio access network as specified by 3GPP.
This workshop will take place in conjunction with the joint Rapporteur meeting of Q11/15 and Q12/15, 16 to 20 October 2017 in ITU headquarters, Geneva.

Target Audience
ITU members and non-members are invited. In particular, the participation of network operators from all geographic regions that plan to deploy IMT-2020/5G and vendors of transport network equipment (e.g. OTN, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS-TP) is welcome.
