John Flood is professor of law and the Director of the Law Futures Centre at Griffith University in Australia. He is both a lawyer and sociologist and has researched the legal profession, especially large law firms, and the new regulation of legal services market. In his work on legal education and the globalisation of law, he is increasingly concerned with the involvement of technology and its disruptive potential. He is presently working on blockchain and the distributed autonomous organisations (DAO) as transformative technologies in the legal space.
