ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar 2025 for the Americas (RRS-25-Americas), 16-20 June 2025, Tegucigalpa, Honduras

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The ​​International Teleco​mmunication Union (ITU) is organizing the ITU Regional Radiocommunication Seminar 2025 for the Americas ​(RRS-25-Americas)​, kindly hosted by the Comisión Nacional de Telecomunicaciones​ (CONATEL)​ of Honduras​​, in cooperation with the Inter American Telecommunication Commission (CITEL), ​​the Comisión Técnica Regional de Telecomunicaciones (COMTELCA) from Central America and the Caribbean Telecommunication Union​ (CTU).

​This Seminar will be held at Tegucigalpa, Honduras, over the period 16-20 June 2025​​ ​(please see the Draft programme, on​ Tab: Information).

Languages​

The lectures and discussions during RRS-25-Americas​ will be conducted in English and Spanish, with simultaneous interpretation (please note that some material such as presentations and software tools will be in English only).

Documentation​

The Seminar's ​documentation will be available on this page (please see Tab: Download Resources). Given the amount of prac​tical work expected during the workshops, participants are required to install the necessa​ry tools on their laptops in advance; laptops should be able to perform the ​​set of minimal specifications.

Registration​

ITU Member States and Academia as well as ITU-R Sector Members and Associates from the Region ​are in​vited to attend the RRS-25-Americas​. Attendance is free-of-charge for their representatives.

Advance registration of all participants is required. Registration will be carried out exclusively online and will require the approval of the corresponding Designated Focal Point (DFP) for ITU-R event registration. Participants will find the necessary information on registration at: www.itu.int​/en/I​TU-R/information/events​.​​​​​​ ​​

Fellowships​​

To encourage participation of developing countries and subject to availability of funds, one partial fellowship may be granted per eligible Member State of the Americas Region​. ​

Partial fellowship will cover either the air ticket (one return economy class ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to the meeting venue), or an appropriate subsistence allowance intended to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses. Member States shall cover the remainder of the cost of the participation.​​

Member States are encouraged to select their candidates taking into consideration the inclusion of persons with disabilities and persons with specific needs, bearing in mind gender balance.​

​​The duly validated fellowship request form (please see the Fellowship Section, on​ Tab: Information) and its annexes, if any, must be returned to the Fellowships Service by e-mail to fellowships@itu.int or by fax: +41 22 730 57 78, by 5 May 2025 (23H59 Geneva time) at the very latest. Registration prior to submitting the fellowship request is mandatory.​
