New Registration System for ITU-R Events

The Radiocommunication Bureau will deploy a new registration platform to all ITU-R events scheduled from 1 September 2019

What will change? In the new registration system, participants are required to first complete an online registration request form and subsequently receive registration approval from their Designated Focal Point (DFP) for ITU R event registration.

Upcoming ITU-R events where the new event registration platform will be introduced:
What about ITU-R events scheduled before 1 September 2019 ?
Registration to ITU-R events scheduled before 1 September 2019 will be managed with the current system (where focal points are in charge of inputting on an online registration form all registration information on every participant representing their Administration/Entity).

IMPORTANT:
    • Advance registration is required and carried out exclusively online. ITU will not process registration requests without prior approval by the DFP of the corresponding Administration/Entity.
    • A registration request can only be granted once approved by the DFP. Participants whose registration request is still pending DFP approval will not be granted access to the event venue. As a result, participants are encouraged to obtain their registration confirmation prior to the event.

FOCAL POINTS: HOW TO APPROVE REGISTRATION REQUESTS

Designated Focal Points for ITU-R event registration (DFP) will be asked to review each registration request submitted on-line from a representative of their Administration/Entity. To this purpose, focal points will receive an email notification to approve/reject each registration request.

All DFPs should already have an ITU user account  (former TIES account), which is required to approve or reject registration requests.

Designated focal points for ITU-R event registration (DFPs) can:

review the full list, per event, of registration requests submitted by representatives of their Administration/Entity and approve (or reject) registration requests

register to an ITU-R event - in this case, approval and confirmation of registration is automatic.
