ITU is saddened to learn of the passing of Tony Reed (UK), who was Chairman of Interim Working Party (IWP) 4/1 of the International Radio Consultative Committee (CCIR) and subsequently Chair of ITU-R Working Party 4A, for almost 20 years
until 2006.
He will be remembered for his technical competence and effort in producing high-quality work.
Mr. Reed was always committed to his role as Chairman, showing excellent leadership capacity.
He was always honest and truthful in the way he worked and believed in doing the right thing for international cooperation
and the betterment of the satellite industry.
