During the third Partner2Connect Web Dialogue, participants considered focus area 3 of the Coalition, on ''Value Creation: Building Digital Ecosystems".
They specifically explored ways to accelerate the digital transformation of societies through an inclusive whole-of-ecosystem approach, entrepreneurship, innovation, and job creation, guided by collaborative policy and regulation practices.
The session also featured a presentation on recently launched universal meaningful digital connectivity targets for 2030, co-developed by ITU and the Office of the UN Secretary General's Envoy on Technology. These 15 aspirational targets prioritize universality, technology and affordability, to chart a path towards a fully connected planet.
Partner2Connect pledges were made by Airtel, towards digital financial inclusion in India; from the Digital Impact Alliance, towards digital public goods; from Evercomm Singapore, towards tapping into the power of youth, grassroots organizations and data; and from the Government of the Dominican Republic towards the country's social digital basket, expanding digital infrastructure, regulation and 5G implementation.
Ms Bogdan-Martin told pledge makers, ''You are paving the way to accelerated digital transformation, particularly in hard-to-reach communities. Every pledge is a step forward towards positive change.''
