BDT Director's Corner: Activities

The third and final Inter-Regional Meeting (IRM) for WTDC took place on 10 March 2022. BDT Director Doreen Bogdan-Martin welcomed delegates back to ITU for the first physical gathering with full remote participation, since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms Bogdan-Martin noted that the first two IRMs and series of Regional Preparatory Meetings (RPMs) have laid out essential groundwork already for WTDC.

She underscored that such solid preparation, ''will ensure that our efforts deliver maximum impact, through clear, concrete, implementable and measurable outcomes that transform not just tomorrow's digital landscape, but the lives of us all.''

While there remains work to be done before WTDC in Kigali, Rwanda from 6 - 16 June 2022, and the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit from 2 - 4 June, Ms Bogdan-Martin observed that there is great collaboration underway towards a landmark digital development conference.
