BDT Director's Corner: Activities

​The second Inter-Regional Coordination Meeting for WTDC took place from 13-14 December. The meeting focused on fostering inter-regional discussions to develop innovative and sustainable solutions for expanding meaningful connectivity ahead of the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) in 2022.

In her opening remarks, BDT Director Doreen Bogdan-Martin emphasized that “With connectivity now at the top of every national agenda, our next WTDC offers us an unmissable chance to accelerate progress towards a fully connected planet.''

She also highlighted the significance of the Partner2Connect Digital Coalition, which is rapidly gaining momentum to open opportunities for collaboration and high-level input to the conference.

At the close of the meeting, Ms Bogdan-Martin reflected on the solid progress achieved in many critical areas and urged active participation in the third and final IRM, scheduled for 14-15 March 2022.​
