BDT Director's Corner: Activities

BDT Director Doreen Bogdan-Martin addressed the ITU-D Study Group 1 and 2 Plenary and Rapporteur Group meetings that took place between 11-15 October and 18-22 October respectively.

ITU-D Study Group 1 considers ''Enabling environment for the development of telecommunications/ICTs'' and ITU-D Study Group 2 considers ''ICT services and applications for the promotion of sustainable development''.

Ms Bogdan-Martin congratulated experts for closing the study cycle of 2018-2021 with excellent outputs, including final reports, Cost Modelling Guidelines, annual deliverables and engaging video clips on the reports.

As a transition to a new study cycle begins, she noted experts' hard work towards adopting relevant study topics and improving the working methods of ITU-D Study Groups.

''I cannot emphasize enough the importance of the work of the study groups, and I am confident that you will once again steer the work towards a meaningful outcome,'' said Ms Bogdan-Martin.
