BDT Director Doreen Bogdan-Martin participated in the Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator “Joining forces to drive change" virtual event on the sidelines of the 76^th UN General Assembly.

Recognising the crucial role of women entrepreneurs in society, she remarked that success in society would be when ''Women entrepreneurs can take their equal place as architects of the global economy including the digital economy''. She affirmed that this would begin with multi-stakeholder partnerships necessary to tackle the multifaceted gender digital divide.

Towards this end, ITU is joining hands with Women's Entrepreneurship Accelerator and Mary Kay on a high-quality digital skills training programme.

''We truly look forward to collaborating with you to further unlock women entrepreneurs' contributions to the digital economy. Because in doing so, the whole world stands to gain,'' said Ms Bogdan-Martin.
