Conference on Safety & Security in Cyber Space: building up Trust in the EU, 6-7 March 2014, Athens, Greece

OVERVIEW

Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), at the kind invitation of the General Secretariat for Telecommunications and Post (and Digital Convergence) of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transports and Networks of the Hellenic Republic, co-organized the Regional Conference on "Safety and Security in Cyber Space: Building-up Trust in the EU", which took place in Zappeion Megaron in Athens, Greece, from 6 to 7 March 2014.

This Regional Conference  provided an opportunity for High level dialogue between the stakeholders on strategies and policies directed towards a more protected and reliable cyber space, laying emphasis on potential cyber threats and areas that had scope for improvement, while building confidence and security in the use of information and communication technologies. The Forum also facilitated discussions on possible challenges that might be addressed at the regional level.

Please note that the meeting will be paperless. Documents related to the event, including Agenda, Registration Form, and Practical Information for Participants are all posted on this website.

Participants are invited to download and print the documents needed for the event. The Conference will be conducted in English only.

Registration will be open from 10 February 2014 to 28 February 2014. If your Administration / Organization / Company will be represented, you are requested to kindly nominate a contact person from your Organization, who will be responsible for registration of all members of your delegation (max. 4 persons). He/She will contact the host organizing team at cyber.event@yme.gov.gr who will send him/her a password and all relevant information that is needed for all the members of the delegation to be registered.

Although there is no participation fee for this meeting, please note that all expenses concerning travel, accommodation and insurance of experts should be covered by your Administration / Organization / Company.
