The National launch event for Serbia was jointly organized by the Prime Minister Office of the Republic of Serbia and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). It held virtually on 01 June 2021, 11:00-12:00 CEST. This national event was organized in the context of the ITU technical assessment to Serbia on Digital Accessibility Policies, held within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiative for Europe on "Accessibility, affordability and skills development for all to ensure digital inclusion and sustainable development" and Accessible Europe initiative.
This launch event aims to disseminate the main findings of the assessment and raise awareness at the national level regarding the importance of ICT accessibility and disability inclusion. It showcased the joint-work undertaken over the past five (5) months to provide an updated overview on the status of ICT Accessibility and Digital Inclusion in Serbia, along with a set of good practices and recommendations for national policymakers and stakeholders on how to ensure the inclusiveness perspective is taken into account in several key domains.
The event targets all interested stakeholders at the country level, representatives of civil society organizations, and academia. Finally, participants were also benefitted from high-level interventions from ITU representatives and the Prime Minister of Serbia.
