ITU Regional Forum “Future Technologies: AI, Metaverse, HTC and other ICT Applications and Services. Vision 2030” (St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, 9-11 June 2025)

The Forum was held within the framework of the ITU Regional Initiatives and ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) and PJSC “Rostelecom” joint project “International Research, Development and Testing Centre for new equipment, technologies, and services (IRDTC) - Phase 2”.

This Forum brought together leading experts, industry stakeholders, and policymakers to explore the transformative potential of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Telepresence, Metaverse, and other emerging ICT applications and services. The event provided a platform to discuss cutting-edge advancements, share best practices, and develop actionable strategies to shape the future of telecommunications.​

The Forum was held​​ back to back with the meetings of the ITU-T Study Group 11 Regional Group for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Transcaucasia (SG11RG-EECAT), ITU-T Study Group 13 Regional Group for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Transcaucasia (SG13RG-EECAT) and ITU-T Study Group 20 Regional Group for Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Transcaucasia (SG20RG-EECAT) that took place on​​​ 9-11 June.​​​
