As part of Girls in ICT Day Pakistan programme, the digital skills training programme will be conducted on 25 September 2021 after the Plenary and Launching of the Girls in ICT Day Pakistan. The key stakeholders will include students, girls in tech and youths in Pakistan.
The first session will feature a hands-on mobile app development Tech4Girls workshop within the framework of the EQUALS Global Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age and it will be supported by GSMA, W4, ITU, CodeGirls and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication Pakistan. The EQUALS Tech4Girls workshop series aim to make younger females feel welcome and empowered in the tech and mobile industries by overcoming gender barriers in relation to access and use of digital technologies. Within this context, EQUALS Tech4Girls Mobile Apps workshops enable a critical mass of women to leverage technology and to address personal and local challenges. The Initiative's comprehensive training also involves boosting self-confidence and creativity, breaking stereotypes and gender norms and enjoying the act of learning.
