Arab Regional Programme for Smart Learning National Strategies: First workshop, Dubai- UAE, 26-28 Feb. 2017

As part of the implementation of the ITU Arab Regional Initiative on Smart Learning, we are pleased to announce the launch of a capacity building programme for policy makers working in relevant areas to Smart Learning.  The first workshop of the programme will be take place in Dubai, UAE from 26-28 Feb. 2017.

This programme is organized in collaboration with the Telecommunication Regulatory Authority of the UAE and the Mohamed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Programme as per the signed Cooperation Agreement with the ITU on the 19th of May 2016.  The first workshop in the Programme will be organized in collaboration with the Arab League's Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in the Arab States. 

The programme will consist of two workshops focusing on smart learning national strategies and plans.  It will shed light on best practices globally with particular hands on emphasis on the positive experience of the Mohamed Bin Rashid Smart Learning Programme.  Two programmes will be launched (a total of four workshops) with the first, workshop in the first programme to be from 26-28 Feb. 2017.  The second workshop is planned to be in the second quarter of 2017. 

This capacity building programme will target policy makers who are involved in the planning and implementation of national initiatives in smart learning in the Ministries of Education as well as the Ministries of ICT in the Arab region.
