ITU New Technologies and Internet Colloquium (ITEC 2024) 6th Edition

GENERAL

ICTs are key for the development of all industries and sectors, including the financial system; therefore the Regional Office of the International Telecommunications Union for America, has had the initiative to organize the sixth edition of the regional event ITEC, with the theme oriented to "New Technologies for economic and financial development".

ITEC 2024

The digital transformation, the adoption of new technologies, the deployment in rural sectors, among others, constitute a constant concern for the countries of the Region, especially the impact on the increase in the current digital divide.

Therefore, the regional aim is to reach the global goal by 2030, the goal to connect the unconnected, the goal to build a digital society with inclusion in the financial system based on the adoption of new technologies.

Purpose

The event ITEC 2024 attempts to provide a forum for analysis and discussion for the adoption of new sustainable and environmentally friendly technologies for the development of the Financial System, it also seeks to identify innovative solutions to reduce the digital divide, facilitate and seek to encourage sustainable and responsible implementation of innovative technologies.
