Dr. Fredrick Kanobe, Lecturer, Kyambogo University, Kampala, Uganda
Fredrick is Head of the Computer Science department at Kyambogo University. He holds a PhD in Computing from Tshwane University, South Africa, a Master’s of Science in Information Technology from Makerere University, two Post Graduate Diplomas in Computer Science and Project Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Humanities. He has over 15 years’ experience as a researcher, consultant and mentor in high institutions of learning and humanitarian organisations. He has published several journal articles in reputable journals and at international conferences. Fredrick has an oral presentation gold award for ICT1AD17 international conference. He has successfully worked on several projects including Landscape analysis of digital payments in health sector in Sub Sahara Africa, Digitization of blood donor management system – Uganda, Disaster tracing system- Uganda, First aid management system – Uganda, Refugee geospatial management system, Mapping of private and public institutions supporting ICT in education-Uganda, Rapid assessment of reskilling and upskilling needs arising out of COVID19 in Uganda, strengthening the capacity of the teaching workforce in secondary schools for conflict-sensitive education in Uganda. He is currently working on the project focusing on digital inclusion among vulnerable persons in developing countries.
