Co-organized by ITU and UNESCO, the annual Mobile Learning Week (MLW), is the flagship ICT in education conference which connects experts from around the world. to help governments and other relevant stakeholders understand how new technologies can improve access, and allow for inclusive and equitable education for all. 

The MLW is designed as a platform for information sharing in the global ecosystem, to expand the int. knowledge base, and facilitate the achievement of timely relevant actions each year. The conference is composed of numerous tracks, including workshops, a symposium, a high-level policy forum as well as a research seminar. Targeted at stakeholders from the smart learning ecosystem, the various tracks of the MLW engage a wide range of participants, from policy-makers, project managers, educators, researchers, to representatives of NGOs, international organizations, and private sector companies.

Focussed on digital skills education, the 2018 Mobile Learning Week aimed to facilitate actions to achieve the following objectives: 
(i) Define and mainstream digital skills, (ii) Innovate skills provision for jobs in the digital economy, (iii) Close inequalities and gender divides, (iv) Map and anticipate changing skill needs.
