July 2013: ITU and IFPMA, organized a Ministerial Breakfast Roundtable to discuss how mobile technologies are changing healthcare and health-management context for NCDs to provide new opportunities for prevention and control.
The event focused on four key areas of discussion:
- The use of mobile technology to improve people’s daily lives
- Ways to address impeding factors and develop approaches that work at scale
- Secure inter-sectoral partnerships and share lessons learned
- Achieve sustainability through government ownership and leadership
