From huge purchases of renewable energy to investment in carbon removal to issuance of green bonds to lobbying, these companies are at the forefront of efforts to reduce Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions. Digital products and services are also having a significant impact in enabling emissions reductions across other sectors.

These developments are discussed in detail in the new report which documents the emissions and energy use of 150 of the world's leading tech companies. Beyond assessing the climate data and targets of the companies, the report can serve as a resource for the companies themselves to learn from best practices to improve their emissions reduction performance and accelerate the achievement of carbon free operations. Given the size of the companies assessed, their climate data provide insight into the operational emissions and electricity use of the Information and Communications Technology sector.

The webinars discussed the key findings and feature insights from civil society, companies, governments, and UN agencies. The report was launched with a
press release on  22 June 2022. To mark World Environment Day,
