| Caecilia Myamutswa Director Legal for Services, Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe Caecilia Nyamutswa is the current Coordinator and Champion for Africa NoW. Mrs. Nyamutswa a Lawyer who  is employed as the  Director Legal  for Services by the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe . She has vast experience in the practice of law  banking and ICT law, having  practiced law for 10 years and worked for large international and Zimbabwean  financial institutions .She is  the current Vice Chair for Africa, for the World Telecommunication Development Conference(WTDC) Inter-regional Preparatory Meetings. She chairs the African Telecommunications Union Ad Hoc Working Group on the ITU-Development Sector 's contribution to the ITU Strategic and Operational Plans. Caecilia  is current  Co-Rapporteur for  ITU -D Study Group 1 question 5/1, on Telecommunications/ICTs for Rural and Remote areas,  for the 1018 to 2021 Study Period, which saw the publication  by ITU  of a comprehensive study   paper prepared by the  Rapporteur Group,  on  broadband development and connectivity solutions for rural and remote areas and the release of the  final Report of the Question. The Report has critical information useful for bridging the Gender Digital Divide. She is also the Zimbabwe focal point for matters relating to TDAG, WSIS and WTDC and was Africa’s focal point on the International Telecommunications Regulations at the Plenipotentiary Conference in 2018. Having  coordinated the participation of Zimbabwean women in the ITU-D  cybersecurity mentorship programme, her vision is to see a world where subject to addressing of historical gender differences and imbalances, employment of women in key ICT positions is gender  blind. |
