Summary: This Recommendation provides signalling architecture, signalling requirements, and signalling protocol procedures for SDN-based access networks with media independent management (MIM) capabilities. It defines signalling architecture models of the SDN-based access networks with MIM capabilities. The signalling architecture models are described for loosely and tightly coupled integrations between SDN and MIM control frameworks. Signalling requirements and protocol procedures for resource management and seamless handover are described for each signalling architecture model.
