The presentation will highlight the relation between ITU-T norms and deliverables with the activity of ANACOM, Portuguese regulatory authority. This session will cover the study case of the new submarine cable linking the Continent, the Azores and Madeira (CAM). The new CAM will be a dual-use system, which in addition to connectivity will also integrate an innovative SMART (Science Monitoring And Reliable Telecommunications) component. In this Session you will learn how SMART Cables contribute to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
