Session Details Dietmar Off enhuber is Assistant Professor atNortheastern University in the departments of Art +Design and Public Policy. He holds degrees from the Technical University, Vienna, and the MIT Media Lab, and is a PhD candidate at the MIT Senseable City Lab. Previously, he was key researcher at the Austrian Ludwig Boltzmann Institute and the Ars Electronica FutureLab and Professor at the Art Institute, Linz, Austria. He managed a number of GSM projects, including switching on the fi rst GSM network in the world and the fi rst GSM network outside Europe. He was formerly Chair of the Mobile and Personal Communications domain of the European Research Programme for three years. Mr Fernandes holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from Munich, Germany, and an Executive MBA. He is a senior member of the IEEE communications society, a member of the International Telecommunications Academy of Russia (ITA), and sits on the Executive Board of the ITU.
