Success stories Victoria Alonsoperez won the Young Innovators Competition 2012 with her project “Chipsafer,” a system that can track and detect at an early stage anomalies in cattle health in real time, remotely and autonomously. In addition, through a very easy to use website farmers can monitor their livestock and receive alerts if any anomaly appears, enabling them to take action before it is too late. In 2013 Victoria co-founded IEETECH, a social enterprise that looks for efficient engineering solutions to current problems with its star product Chipsafer. Victoria has already filed patents in three countries and won the Best Young Inventor Award 2013 from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). IEETECH has been awarded a USD 70.000 grant from the ANII (National Agency of Research and Innovation from Uruguay) to develop Chipsafer and is already in contact with potential customers from different countries.
