The workshop examined the need and possible approaches for international cooperation to protect global critical network infrastructures. Issues were discussed both at national and international level from a private and public sector perspective. On the basis of country case studies, an ITU background paper, presentations and debate, the workshop looked at the relationship between competition law and telecommunication regulation, and identified a number of key issues.
