– 165 – (7.2 – Other miscellaneous matters) R 1258 (C06) Continued Implementation of Council Recommendations (Resolutions 1216/1243) The Council, considering a) the report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of Resolutions 1216 and 1243 in Document C06/22; b) the report of the New Council Oversight Group (NCOG)to Council 2006 in Document C06/15 and its Addendum, noting that the Council, at its third Plenary meeting, endorsed both the NCOG report and the report by the Secretary-General, further noting a) the recommendations of the Secretary-General to Council 2006 to note the work that has been done by the Secretariat to implement Council recommendations under Resolution 1243, and to note the continuation of the work as outlined in Document C06/22; b) the recommendations of the NCOG to approve the continuation of the work to be undertaken by the Secretariat between the 2006 Council session and the 2006 Plenipotentiary Conference, and to extend NCOG’s current mandate and composition until PP-06, resolves 1 to extend the mandate, composition and working methods of the NCOG and the Supporting Team, as outlined in Resolution 1243, until the 2006 Plenipotentiary Conference; 2 to request the NCOG to submit its final report on the implementation of this Resolution, to the final meeting of the council to be held just prior to PP-06 at which time the work of the Group will be completed.
