– 76 – (2.2 – Human resources management) noting that Resolution 48, inter alia, instructed the Secretary-General, with the assistance of the Coordination Committee, to prepare and implement medium-term and long-term human resources management and development plans; recognizing that long-term planning in the area of human resources is essential for the proper management and development of ITU staff; resolves that the Secretary-General should prepare, in collaboration with the ITU Staff Council, a comprehensive Human Resources Strategic Plan which should cover items listed in Annex to Resolution 48 (Rev. Antalya, 2006) on human resources management and development, as well as any contributions submitted by Council Members during the 2008 session of the Council or after that session to the General Secretariat, and submit this plan to the 2009 Council session; resolves further that the Secretary-General implements the new contractual arrangements proposed by the International Civil Commission as outlined in Council Document C07/31.
